A week-long celebration of Kannawidan Ylocos Festival of Ilocos Sur celebrates its 194th anniversary of the founding anniversary with a sequence of activities that projected drawing thousands of domestic and foreign tourists.
Kannawidan Ylocos Festival became a twelve-monthly festival with the intention to generate understanding on the conservation of the province' wealthy enlightening heritage, practices and ethnicity, and a showcase of the diverse agriculture and industry products of the province.
This celebration is incredibly noteworthy to every resident in the province seeing that they are celebrating the foundation of Ilocos Sur as a province by virtue of the Royal Decree signed on February 2, 1818.
