Kannawidan Ylocos Festival became a twelve-monthly festival with the intention to generate understanding on the conservation of the province' wealthy enlightening heritage, practices and ethnicity, and a showcase of the diverse agriculture and industry products of the province.

This celebration is incredibly noteworthy to every resident in the province seeing that they are celebrating the foundation of Ilocos Sur as a province by virtue of the Royal Decree signed on February 2, 1818.

Keeping In Mind Our Mother Tongue

There are many bilingual and multicultural citizens in the world today. For many, the choices of which verbal communication they use, and how they use it, match up to what social or cultural community they belong to. Our mother tongue is our treasure. It represents our place, families and background.

Keeping in mind our mother tongue is very essential. It is our instrument for us to put across our thoughts. It serves as our individuality. Mother tongue is very important. It has been passing by generation to generation. Be proud of your own mother tongue. We must not forget it. Treasure it.

New Year, New Me

As the year starts, people used to list down things they want to change or habits they want to replace or the so called “New Year’s Resolution”. It is like a start of a new chapter in our lives. Change is a thing that every people carry from their birth to their death.

In this new beginning, I want to change the way I was before. A new look, a new personality and a happier me. I want to live life to its fullest. I want to change myself for my own sake. You will see this year a new me. Changing is good for everybody because it is how we replace our bad ways.

A simple word with a simple meaning but for us, it is not easy to do. Change, for us is nothing but normal. Because in this world we live, change is permanent. Even we, humans, cannot endure the power of change.

Change is an important factor to us to reach our goals. People change for so many reasons. As a graduating student, I want to change a little bit in myself. There are bad habits I want to change in order for me to make my dreams come true. I want to be more focused in my studies. I want get high grades for me to qualify the requirements for the course I want to take. I want to be more responsible with everything I own.

These are the things I want to change for me to be a successful man in the near future.

Essence of Christmas

Bells are ringing, children go caroling signs that Christmas is fast approaching. December 25 is a very special day for it is the day Our Lord Jesus Christ was born.Christmas to me is a celebration, which includes spending time with my family, decorating the entire house, inside and out, and shopping, for the people I love. Doing this with the people I love is what means the most to me.
The thing I love the most in celebrating Christmas is that the table has a lot of food. But Christmas is not just preparing food for us to share with our family. It's the way how we show love to everyone.Even though wrapping, decorating, making and celebrating makes the Christmas season joyful and merry, I think what makes it significant is the "giving" part of Christmas. Christmas is also a time to forgive and forget all the bad things they have done to you. Whether they are our enemy or friend we must express our warmest greetings to them.
To share is the true essence of Christmas. So we must spread love on Christmas Day!!!!!
